Eating with your comb?

Sam loves to feed himself and is getting better and better at uses utensils.  This is not the best photo in the world - but you need to trust me when I tell you that Sam is eating hummus in his little bowl using his comb.

I thought it was ingenious  - the flat shape enabled him to shovel more hummus in his mouth compared to a little spoon ;)

Morning walk with Sam

So Sam is a huge fan of the outdoors and is getting very good at saying "outside" - he also points at his jackets when he wants to go outside.  We have been logging many hours outside - walking to the park, climbing up neighbors steps, etc.  This morning Sam was up close to 6am and had me outside by 6:38am ;)

April Showers

Sam and I visited Alex, Wes and the whole Houston and Wilson families today for an Easter Egg hunt at their farm.  Because of the weather (it snowed ;) it was an indoor hunt this year.  Sam had a fantastic time watching the kids run around finding eggs and filly their baskets.  He and Wes were adorable together and really playing with each other :)  We got home close to 4pm and Sam was eager to go for a walk - it was misting outside, but clearing up so off we went to the park down the street.

Oh to be a cat

We have been cat-sitting Geoff's parent's cat and upon her arrival Sam was very interested in Annie's cat bed and her mouse toy that makes a chirpy kind of sound.  Last week I got him another cat toy from the Shaw's pet aisle that he now loves - so easy - I wish I had figured this one out a little earlier ;)

It is just me or does he look like 40 in this photo? ;)

From our walk last weekend - for some reason I think he looks older in this photo.  And he def. has Geoff's nose!! :)

Little hide-away

 

Sam loves crawling into this space under the kitchen island (that lives in the dining room ;)  - so I draped a table cloth over it to make it a proper hide-away for him - he was in love :)  I can't wait to get him a bigger play space that he can hang out in - there are so many options - but I think when we get him a bed we will get something that has a play space with it - they have a bunk bed that has a play space under it and a slide from the loft bed - but that is a little ways down the road....

I just learned how to download photos directly from my iPhone to my laptop - okay to be honest I have had an iPhone for 3 years or so and this is actually the first time I have attempted it - just in time for me to rid myself of my new iPhone today and sap it for the new iPad - woot woot!
