One Month

Charlotte is now over a month old - really amazing.  The above is a photo of her with Geoff on her official one month birthday a few days back.  Things are going well and I am starting to resurface after all the head wound craziness.  Geoff is on the mend and we are settling back into things.  Charlotte is a really wonderful baby - granted she does have her wail fests every so often - more likely than not in the evenings- but overall a very easy going baby.  She is such a treat after our adventures with Sam, and it is really nice just to be able to enjoy her doing her baby things.  She has her one month check up today and is in the 97th percentile for everything so nice and proportional.  Her weight is around 11 pounds and 12 or 15 ounces - I honestly forget what the Dr. said on the ounce front.  She has been smiling for a few weeks now and is starting to make cooing noises.  She has a good amount of strength in her neck and can track with her eyes pretty well. She no longer fits in newborn clothes and I am starting to put her in 3 month gear.  In terms of sleep she takes good naps during the day and is up around 3 times at night (night defined as 10pm - 8am) - she usually goes right back to sleep after 2 of thee three feedings - and sometimes I get all three, but generally she likes to hang out a bit for one of the 3.  Geoff has been sleeping downstairs in Sam's room - and finds himself cuddling with Sam in the "big big" bed a good amount of the time :)

Update on lack of updates ;)

So I have been a bit slack in adding details to my posts bcs besides having a newborn craziness has been added by Geoff getting a moderate/sever concussion last Sunday afternoon - the 1st of April.  He was playing with Sam at park and hit his head when trying to save Sam from a fall.  My goal is to add details to posts once life settle down a bit - which I hope does not fall in the "never" category ;)
