Sunday Night Football

Geoff getting some much needed cuddles and the kids super happy to climb on him :)

Charlotte - 9 months

Charlotte had her 9 month birthday last week.  I am so happy that Geoff's Mum got to meet her and that we named her after Alison.  She is such a happy and smiley baby - and so incredibly strong.  She is on the verge of walking and eats incredibly well.  She has 3 melas a day and formula with her naps and bed.  She is a great sleeper.  Really we could have not asked for a better baby for our family.  I think she much have gotten the memo that we had a rough go of it with Sam, so she has more than made up for it.  It is so nice to really be able to enjoy all the baby stages with her - she is all the good stuff.  For her 9 month check-up she was 23 pounds and 8 ounces.  So overall her weight and head are in the  95/97th percentile and her height is around 86th.  She is usually in the high 90s for height as well so it could just be timing of groth spurts, or she is leveling out a bit.

All about Charlotte

I figured it was about time for a Charlotte update.  Granted I should be packing for my trip right now, but baby photos are way more fun.  In terms of update, she is over 23 pounds now and is crawling everywhere.  She can pull herself up on tables and the like and making lots of sounds and noises.  She loves her food and amazes me how much she can consume.  For example at dinner tonight she ate a cup of dry cheerios, 4 oz of chicken and rice, a pizza crust, and then 4 ounces of formula before bed.  She is eating really well - a good variety of fruits, vegetables and poultry. And she loves her cheerios.  When you take to long to feed her or run out of baby food she grunts and is fusses for more.  She is still a very happy and smiley baby, and is taking longer naps from all her crawling around.  Here are some recent photos:

So please with crawling

Hmmm ... don't mind if I do

I like you digger

Any help?

I will just bring myself to the digger

Geoff captured her letting go - and then had to catch her :)

My happy baby

Really into her cheerios

Crushing Sophie - with a red bump on head from her brother - she is going to get her payback someday soon :)

I think I like it

Geoff has been under the weather with a cold so when I had to stay late at work last night he was minding the kids.  Feeling not well at all he put in an Elmo sing-along DVD to entertain them and Charlotte was clearly mesmerized as Sam sung along.

Do note Charlotte is missing one sock - we cannot keep 2 socks on her.

Snow!

We had our first snow a week and a half ago and Sam was very intersted in it.  It was dark so Geoff and I did not feel like going outside with him, but he was happy to have a bowl of snow.  He was eatting it with a spoon saying "Yummy..."  and "Perfect..."

Drumlin Farms: Sam and Quinn

Kristy and I have taken Sam and Quinn to Drumlin Farms a few times.  It is my new favorite place to take Sam.  It is a nice and "clean" farm that has sheep, cows, birds, deer, goats, pigs, etc.  There is a nice wide path for Charlotte to be in the stroller and the best part is Sam can run like crazy - and not break anything! :)

Here are some photos from last weekend - we checked out the deer enclosure and field for the first time.

I love this photo :)

Playing in the dirt

I do not know how to rotate photo - but totally worth a look - yes, that is my son throwing a plant up in the air and wondering who saw him ;)

Charlotte under the weather with her first cold, but a trooper :)

Yum, yum :)

Charlotte is getting the hang of eating baby food.  She loves pear, apple and plum, and also loves teething biscuits.  She gets excited when you bring a spoon close and she opens her mouth in anticipation :)

This is a photo from Geoff from after a meal this weekend.

Sam's first concert

Kristy and I took the boys (Quinn and Sam) to Sam's first concert on Saturday morning - my first concert was (thanks to my Dad for correcting this - and taking us all to both) was New Kids on the Block in Maine and then Whitney Houston after that. - Sam's was Vanessa Trien and The Jumping Monkeys
at The Regent Theatre in Arlington.  The boys were super cute - it is so awesome to have friends like Kristy and Quinn in the neighborhood.

Getting mail

My Mom sent the kids Halloween cards and they have a great time opening the mail.

Everything goes in the mouth :)

I love this photo of Sam and wish was not so blurry...

Those are some very strong toes :)

Let's not tell her she is reading upside down

Halloween

We had a really fun Halloween this year.  We met up with our neighbors Kristy, Coulter and Quinn for pizza before we headed out.  The boys play so well together and are so incredibly sweet.  They were really getting into the trick or treating - Quinn was a lion and Sam was a dalmatian puppy - though he said he was a "Momma dog". They were roaring and barking and saying trick or treat and happy Halloween.  Charlotte was another dalmatian puppy and Geoff and I dressed up as Roger and Anita Radcliffe :)

Family costumes

Amazing how the curtains go with our theme :)
